GYM MANAGER/SENIOR COACH REQUIRED
Queenstown Gymnastics Club (QGC) is seeking a General Manager and Coach to be a senior staff member overseeing many aspects of our Club. You will bring drive and enthusiasm to ensure QGC maintains a sustainable business and delivers an exceptional experience to all members. This is a full-time role with flexible coaching hours during Monday to Friday between 3:30 – 8:00pm, plus additional admin hours. Role commencing ASAP.
We are the only fully equipped gymnastics gym in the area and cater to all age groups and levels from preschool through to adult, recreational and competitive. We provide classes to over 200 members each term. We are interested in expanding and growing our offerings, through new programs and initiatives, to include more members of the community.
Previous gymnastics experience and/or coaching is a prerequisite and knowledge of the New Zealand Steps programme is desired. Ability to teach a variety of classes and levels is desirable with particular expertise working with senior gymnasts in Steps 5-8.
The right person will have experience in working and communicating with children across a wide range of ages, be hands on, supportive and pro-active whilst ensuring their safety.
The Club offers an intimate coaching environment with a progressive and supportive committee, and seeks to progress our coaches through the GymSportsNZ coaching programme.
For the right candidate we could offer short term accommodation while permanent accommodation is found.

GYMNASTICS COACH (Competitive and Recreational):
The Queenstown Gymnastics Club seeks to employ a Coach to work with our junior competitive WAG programme and our recreational gymnasts. You will work closely with the Gym Manager & other coaches. Previous gymnastics experience and/or coaching is a prerequisite and knowledge of the New Zealand Steps programme is desired. You must have the ability to legally work in NZ. Ability to teach a variety of classes and levels is desirable. The Coach role has flexible, part time coaching hours from Monday to Friday between 3.30pm – 8.00pm. Weekend work available if desired. Role commences May 2023. The right person will have experience in working and communicating with children across a wide range of ages, be hands on, supportive and pro-active whilst ensuring their safety and well-being.
