Welcome to Queenstown Gymnastics Club. The Queenstown Gymnastics Club is the Wakatipu's only community focused fully equipped gym & includes a sprung floor and all the apparatus required for men's and women's artistic gymnastics (MAG & WAG). We run a range of recreational and competitive gymnastics programmes, suitable for children from the age of 3 thru adults of all ages. Our quality coaching is provided in a friendly atmosphere designed to deliver not only fun but discipline and progression. Our club is an incorporated society registered as a charity, and is affiliated with GymSports New Zealand (GSNZ) under which all our programs are endorsed.

Code of Conduct
Queenstown Gymnastic Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, officials, administrators, parents and spectators associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, all those associated with Queenstown Gymnastic Club should comply by this Code of Conduct.

Job Vacancies
Current Opening: Gymnastics Coach The Queenstown Gymnastics Club currently seeks to employ a coach to assist in the running of our recreational and competition gymnastics programmes. Previous gymnastics experience and/or coaching is a prerequisite as is the ability to legally work in NZ. The Coach role has flexible part time hours during Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 3.30 – 7.30pm. Potential for weekend or daytime work as well as a future full time position. Role commences July 20th, 2020. The right person will have experience in working and communicating with children across a wide range of ages, be hands on, supportive and pro-active whilst ensuring their safety. The club offers an intimate coaching environment with a progressive and supportive committee, and seeks to progress our coaches through the GymSportsNZ coaching programme. Venue for Hire
Queenstown Gymnastics Club Venue for Hire for sports clubs and groups. We are available for hire for one off events or regular time slots for your group or club. The gym is available at various time during the morning, weekends, late nights. We have a sprung floor, crash pads, and high ceilings. If you are interesting in holding a birthday party in our gym, see here! Which groups are apporpriate to rent our space is at the discretion of the Club Committee. If you are interested in renting our space please contact us!

Programmes
The goal of our recreational class is to develop co-ordination, flexibility, skills and confidence in a friendly atmosphere. Recreational gymnasts progress through a structured program offered by GymSports NZ. All classes (besides boy's class) are co-ed. They are tested twice each term and receive a midterm review as well as an end of term review in which coaches will evaluate their skills and indicate when they should progress to the next level. Progression to competition level is possible, subject to coach guidance and invitation. Programmes: rec, boys, preschool, adult

Private Sessions
All of our coaches are available for private sessions. These are sessions in which the coach can give the gymnast one on one attention to work on new skills, routines, or problem areas which they wish to improve.
