Gymnastics coaching positon

GYM MANAGER AND SENIOR COACH REQUIRED QUEENSTOWN GYMNASTICS CLUB, QUEENSTOWN, CENTRAL OTAGOQueenstown Gymnastics Club (QGC) is seeking a General Manager and Coach to be a senior staff member overseeing many aspects of our Club. You will bring drive, enthusiasm and dedication to ensure QGC maintains a sustainable business, delivers an exceptional experience to all members and has a supported team of Coaches under your professional leadership. This is a full time role with flexible coaching hours between 3.30pm and 8.00pm from Monday to Friday, and additional management and administration hours. Some further daytime and weekend hours as required for events and during the competition season. Role commencing ASAP.We are the only fully equipped gymnastics facility in the Queenstown area and cater to all age groups and levels from preschool through to adult, recreational and competitive. We provide classes to over 200 members each term. We are interested in expanding and growing our offerings through new programs and initiatives to reach a wide range of members of the community.Previous gymnastics coaching experience to a high level is a prerequisite and knowledge of the New Zealand competitive STEPS programme is desired. The ability to teach a variety of classes and levels is desirable with particular expertise coaching our senior gymnasts in Steps 5-8. Excellent communication and organisational skills are necessary, as is being able to work both as a member of a team and independently. The right person will have experience in working and communicating with children across a wide range of ages, be hands on, supportive and pro-active whilst ensuring their safety. In line with our Club philosophy, enabling the progression, enjoyment and well-being of our gymnasts in a positive coaching environment is essential.The Club offers an intimate coaching environment with a progressive and supportive Committee, and seeks to advance our coaches through the GymSports NZ coaching programme.
